A Public Dialogue Held On
‘’Multiplying Faces & Voices in the Fight against Violent Extremism In Uganda.’’

On November 29th Community Change Agents which is a program implemented by Uganda Muslim Youth Development Forum (UMYDF) with support from the US Mission Kampala held a National Public Dialogue on ‘’Multiplying Faces & Voices In The Fight Against Violent Extremism In Uganda.’’ at Grand Imperial Hotel Good Fellas Conference Hall.

Focused on strengthening the capacity of participants, the above program provided a platform where former beneficiaries shared and engaged with other community influencers and change makers on issues around creating awareness on violent and violent extremism and how to come up with strategies that can help prevent violent extremism initiatives in their daily engagements.

Definitions and concepts of violent & violent extremism, its root causes and consequences on individuals, family & community and its effects on raising the rate of violence were discussed. Group work, discussions and networking were the main activities of the training.
