Rehema is an award-winning youth non-profit leader, a communications and policy advocacy professional, and passionate women’s rights activist currently leading Musawah’s programme in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her work with youth started a decade ago at university as a voluntary youth peer educator with Reproductive Health Uganda, teaching fellow youth living in slum areas around Kampala City about their sexual and reproductive health and rights. She continued volunteering for various youth causes after completing her bachelor’s, and through these experiences, Rehema founded Re!gnite Africa, a youth-focused social enterprise and advocacy organization tackling unemployment in Uganda.  At the international level, Rehema has worked with international youth movements and programs such as World Learning’s and Women Deliver’s youth programs. She has worked with INGOs that include; Oxfam AmericaWhite Ribbon AllianceWomen Deliver, and World Learning. Rehema received her MA focused on policy advocacy and analysis from SIT Graduate Institute, in Vermont, USA, and her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University.
