Zuria is the Executive Director of Daraja Law, an organization supporting her community with legal awareness support. She has worked to increase social consciousness and support in social development by creating support networks and increased social work for especially women in Uganda. She has more than 10 years of leadership in volunteerism and community engagement.
Through different projects, she has worked to create awareness on rights in areas of land, family and criminal law and in matters of inheritance, divorce, marital problems, violence, and other harmful practices which have uplifted many members especially women of the communities in which she has worked.
Zuria is a graduate of Law from Makerere University, a fellow of the International Visitors Learning Programme. Her legal experience includes office practice, legal awareness work, court representations and an Assistant Lecturer at the Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) Faculty of Law. She is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society. She has worked with various organisations and participated in workshops and trainings focused on promoting women and youth sexual and reproductive health with focus of the needs of young girls and women living with HIV.
