I used to struggle for what to eat on a daily basis but now I can ably wire a house and earn money that can enable me live a decent life. With the business skills I attained, I am confident that I can strive to be a boss who will employ my peers.

Today I am happy to witness this change at the 2020 Katwe Skills Centre graduation ceremony and I can confidently attest to the fact that these youths can be trusted and will be the change makers needed by our society.

I wish to request you to continue skilling so that the minds of our children are sharpened. What you have done is great for the nation; government sponsored BTVET funds disappear and do not reach schools. But who are we? You have chosen to fundraise for us and have used the funds appropriately. We thank you very much. Please continue fundraising for us.

I can now take care of my personal needs using my job here at Ham shopping grounds. This has helped me realise my role in helping other young men and women attain positive alternatives. Let’s work together and make the changes in our community that we desire to see.

The things at Katwe Skills Centre! You may see it as small and undermine it but KSC is grand and significant to those of us who have studied from theret; those who know it. This is because we can’t quite put a value on what we got out of it.
